POSITIVE FEEDBACK !
Thursday, May 21, 2009 at 9:58AM If you are thinking of changing your kart to a Birel or even updating your current Birel to the 2009 model then you might find the email I recieved from Senior Max racer Mike Mcmahon of interest. I can assure you we didn't pay him to write it the email is genuine! thanks to Mike for allowing me to post it up here on the news section.
Hi Andy,
Would just like to say I am very impressed with the kart, I have driven the 2007/8 models of Tonykart, Gillard and Octane and have never driven anything as consistent as the Birel. The brakes in particular are very good and every set up change is noticeable. My Dad and I have been recommending it to everyone and will continue to do so. The steering column in particular is my new favourite set up change and I prefer it on setting 4. We run the kart fairly loose on the rear as clay is a very grippy track and it is very consistent without sliding round every corner like the local Wright karts appear to. Apart from that we have kept most things standard.
Although we didn't get the result at the weekend we were second quickest most of the day and quickest in one heat, a move for third in the final cost me. My next race will be the southern champs at Forest Edge which I am really looking forward to. i will update my academy page very soon.
My dad will phone you soon to order some spares, are the separate parts of the sticker kit available to buy or do you need to buy a full set?
We will recommend the new Birel to anyone, there can't be allot of difference between the latest karts out at the moment but I think the quality of the Birel components, the way it's built, the way it looks and the ability to feel every set up change really gives it the edge over anything out there.
Cheers
Mike
