What’s so different?

Weight:

Of course a fundamental difference compared to our competitors is the chassis/engine weight (111kgs) of the Birel kart. This is achieved through the design of the Birel chassis and the weight of the new Birel prepared Subaru engine. The result is a racing style handling kart and an easier, enjoyable and realistic kart drive for your client.

Pedal System:

The Anti ride pedal system ensures that when a client presses the brake and accelerator at the same time our pedal system dis-engages the accelerator to ensure no damage to the clutch. With the Birel/Subaru wet clutch being incredibly effective anyway as an operator your clutch costs will be vastly reduced. Our pedal system is also adjustable with three driving positions giving ample adjustments for driver heights ranging from 1,60m to 1,90m.

Seat and mounting:

The seat is fibre glass and is mounted specifically to give the best balance for the Birel chassis. The seat position creates a comfortable driving experience and good posture for the driver whilst driving. The seat size is XL and you can of course put seat inserts in to accommodate the smaller drivers. The seat is mounted in a specially designed support cradle which stops stress and vibration into the seat.

Axle and wheel hubs:

The Birel axle is a substantial 40mm and is hollow with a 5mm wall thickness. Its strength is optimised as it is mounted in the chassis frame via a four bearing support. Our HQ 40mm CNC hubs are superior quality and their position on the axle is guaranteed with a specially designed support axle key. 

Braking System:

The Birel braking system is self adjusting and gives a very re assuring pedal and consistent feel for a driver. The brake pads are long lasting and have a good surface area contact with the brake disc. The pads are simple and quick to change for your technicians and are located by two special locator pins with safety devices. Any possibility of overheating of our brake is avoided thanks to our pedal system. With its anti ride feature as well as saving you clutch costs it will also reduce your brake pad consumption costs too.

Bodywork and Wheel protection System:

Our unique bodywork protection system has many attributes in its design. As well as delivering a striking racing look the plastic used in its construction was chosen for its impact absorption qualities. Our bodywork has been crash tested and its design helps reduce any damage when two karts impact even at high speeds. The Birel bodywork creates an over kart view of an oval shape which when two karts are racing side by side reduces the contact areas between them The wheel protection rubber guards cover the front and rear wheels in individual rubber moulded blocks. They are cleverly located within the pod with an independent fixing which is integral within the pods construction.

Each Birel N35 package come packed in a carton, inside the package is ready assembled with the Birel/Subaru engine mounted with your chosen gear ratio and with its racing exhaust and cover.  We include an installation day with every fleet ordered to ensure your new Birel fleet is up and running effectively and earning you money from day one!
